Cuil: A New Search Engine Better Than Google?
A new search engine was recently launched for public use claiming it is better than Google. It is called Cuil, an Irish-termed meaning "knowledge" and it was founded by former architect of Google’s large search index, TeraGoogle that launched in early 2006.
Cuil was claimed to be a different kind of search engine. Well, I think it's different in background perspective - because they use black, unlike most search engines like Google and Yahoo which use white.
As mentioned on their About page "Rather than relying on superficial popularity metrics, Cuil searches and ranks pages based on their content and relevance. When we find a page with your keywords, we stay on that page and analyze the rest of its content, its concepts, their inter-relationships and the page’s coherency."
Nice. But considering it is new, I don't agree it is already the world's largest search engine. It won't beat Google or Yahoo. Just my opinion ;0
